The German American Society “Friendship” of Pinellas County, Inc. was organized in 1951 as a vibrant center to meet new and old friends. It is a lively place for German heritage, camaraderie, celebration and authentic German food. The full service bar offers domestic and German beer, wine and mixed drinks. It is a spot to share experiences over a drink with friends and family, a destination to sing and dance to wonderful live entertainment. Members and guests enjoy a myriad of events not the least of which is our authentic annual Oktoberfest. Speaking German is not a requisite.
We invite you to visit and partake in our hospitality. Share our “Gemutlichkeit!” You will experience a warm feeling every Saturday evening, where you can meet new people and make new friends at our dances. These dances have themes such as Home Town Night (Heimat Abend) or Bavarian night (Bayerischer Abend). Others are more main stream American like St. Patrick's Day, Independence Day, Easy Dancing, Veterans Day, Swing into Spring and many more (50 in all).
