Summer’s Here! Art Camp
The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art will offer two consecutive weeks of summer art camp for children from July 12-16 and July 19-23. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with an hour lunch and play break in the Interactive Gallery at noon.
Camps, led by certified art teachers, will be offered for children ages 6-9 and ages 10-13 each week. A reception and exhibition will be held for families and friends on Friday afternoons.
Children should arrive at camp with lunch and snacks and dressed for mess.
The cost per week is $125 per child for museum members, $150 for non-members, and the cost includes materials. A $25 discount per child is available for multiple enrollments for both members and non-members. The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is located just west of U.S. Highway 19 at 600 Klosterman Road, on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College. Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Friday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free to children and students with ID. On Sundays,admission is a suggested donation of $5 (but visitors may pay what they can and enjoy the museum) and free docent tours are offered at 2 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays.
