The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art and the Palm Harbor Library will offer Appetite for Art at noon on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Appetite for Art is a bi-monthly program held at the library and features presentations by local artists. Guests are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch; coffee and cookies are provided.
The January program will highlight the Plein Air Cottage Artists of Indian Rocks Beach: Violetta, Mary Rose Holmes and Helen Tilston. They will bring samples of their work and give a demonstration on the art of triptych painting.
The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is located just west of U.S. Highway 19 at 600 Klosterman Road, on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College. Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Friday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free to children and students with ID. Sundayadmission is a suggested donation of $5 and free docent tours are offered at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays.
