I am looking for you great Dunedin citizens to inform me as to the use of golf carts in the Dunedin area. I am aware of the residential areas around the Dunedin country club. I am looking for the rules/regulations on the causeway to ALT 19. (liSAiSC00l 03/14/07 10:11am) REPLY
Golf cart usage within the City is governed by F.S. 316.212 and City Ordinance 83-61. A copy of the ordinance is obtainable through the Dunedin City Clerk’s office, 250 Milwaukee Ave. Phone 727-298-3039. (jackiezz 06/21/07 9:14am) REPLY
Dear Scuttlebutt - currently, you can take your golf cart about 1 mile around the country club course. But what you and others may want to know is that we are working on an ordinance that would allow golf cart usage in the downtown CRA district as well. With gas prices the way they are and our push to go green, we are excited to expand this alternative means of transportation. Once this is done, we will look for other areas as well.
