Has anyone tried this new restaurant? We've been hesitant, probably because of the old Chinese-restaurant building it refurbished and also just because finding great Italian locally has been difficult. (yacky 01/14/06 6:57pm) REPLY

I have not tired Olini's yet. However, Bellini's downtown gets great marks. Also, there is a place on A19 (about 1 yr old) just north of the overpass (may be in Palm Habor) that others have RAVED about. Upscale dining I have heard. A new Dunedin resturant, The Stuffed Shell Bistro, has been reported to be a realy good place to get the Italian experience. Get more details right here on MyDunedin. I tried Olini's this past weekend. I was immediately impressed with the pleasant atmosphere - low lighting, candle at every table, and the warm tones of the wood accents everywhere. The food was standard Italian fare... I got manicotti and my boyfriend got a chicken dish. The salads were fresh and good-sized. The service was good. We will definitely go back. I believe you are thinking of "LEO's" Italian Rest. They are in the Plaza at the Northwest corner of alt.19 and Curlew. Ollini;s on Main St., not 580 has excellent food and drinks. It is very very expensive for what you get for a dinner or a drink. It's the kind of place you take your sweetheart for their birthday or anniversary. The service is excellent. I have been there about 4 times and have no complaints. Main Street IS 580 where Olini's is located. We've eaten there more times than I can count. Overall I would say that we have been pleased. I don't agree with TJ that it is expensive. The management of the restaurant is trying real hard to be successful and to meet the needs of their guests. They appear to be willing to listen to both complaints and suggestions.
